Why Become an ADI?

Being self employed you will be the master of your own diary and work the hours that you want. However, you could also become employed within a company, working office hours if you wanted too.

The job has very satisfying end results. The delight of a pupil passing and seeing their joy or a license holder responding to your instruction and getting good results is very gratifying.

As a good instructor you will be financially rewarded. A well trained, good quality instructor will not be short of work.

You choose when to work and when not to. However, most good instructors are too busy to take time out!

Your car and its expenses will be yours to use for personal use or for business. It will be your “company car”. However, the tax benefits are better than a company car. These benefits will also apply to leasing or buying your car.
What Could it Lead to?
Becoming a driving instructor is a very rewarding job with plenty of benefits and potential for moving into other more exclusive fields than just learner drivers. Here is a list of a few different roles you could move onto through the door of driving tuition:

Training people in preparation for advanced motorists tests such as: Diamond Special and Advanced test; Rospa and Cardington Advanced tests amongst others.

Examining clients on the above tests.

Delivering fleet driver training on courses where employers have sent there employees to gain professional driver training.
